When Selling Out Isn't All That Bad!
Where do I start folks? I suppose the only place to start is from the beginning, or in my case, the end. Have you ever heard of that old saying, "Jack of all Trades, Master of None"? Well meet Jane! The only difference is that my name is not really Jane, and I am actually a master at several things. My name is Erinn Soule and I am a recovering dreamer. I am also known to many on the music scene as the "Muzicmistress".
SouleD Out Music has been many ventures, from booking and managing bands, to entertainment services. When SouleD Out Music was first founded back in 2000, it was a place on the net that bands called home, I think a more appropriate description would be "soup kitchen". I cooked, cleaned and folded their musical laundry, and all for just a pat on the back. I was proud of the fact that I could be a part of others' dreams, and be an encouragement reinforcement to many aspiring artists. The best part? FOR FREE! I was so tired of seeing great talent being abused, taken of advantage of, and manipulated, all for the gain of some slimeball sitting back, sipping cocktails...disregard the picture above....
As times changed, money tighter, and my life busier, it was time to say goodbye to the long hours, hard work and no pay...then not long to follow, goodbye to SouleD Out Music as many knew it. I have a deep burning passion for music, people and all things good, so putting SOM to rest has been a fight. I ventured out into the jobs market (no that is not a mispelling, I said jobs, not job) and played around with this site on my free time. I find myself compelled to see what all the bands are doing these days...which band has broke up, which band has finally been signed (and owes me money), and which band fell prey to the doom of rap music...hahaha...okay, so it is not all bad :)
Well the journey didn't stop there. Like I mentioned earlier, I always have something to say, so why not say it on my website, after all I had over 2 million hits! I have been writing since diapers and am hoping to one day, land a gig with some reputable or sleazy music magazine, until then...SouleD Out Music will be my home on the net to blog, vent and sometimes create! Now I may not be a professional editor and believe me, I am perfectly capable of showing off my talent of typos, but I guarantee I will bring news from our small town, local artist's, or slimeballs, that you did not even know existed, as well as bands that you did not know existed...or wished they hadn't!
I want this website to be informative, entertaining, shocking and even more importantly, lucrative! You may see an ad or many ads or even some really great services, please help support this website by visiting them. A small hacking scrip will then grab your information and sell it to thousands of other ads and I will see a microscopic cent, i believe they call that a "red cent". Okay so I am exaggerating a bit, there is no hacking script to steal your information. There is however tons of great ideas, local businesses, reviews, news and great local talent to see on this website.
